Sanyu Babies' Home is the first and oldest Babies Home in Uganda established in 1929 by Milnes Winfred Walker. It is a Christian organization taking care of abandoned and orphaned children. Sanyu cares for up to 50 babies and toddlers aged between 1 day old and 4 years. Many of their children are found abandoned in garbage heaps, pit latrines, ditches, taxi parks or are left by the side of the road.

Since 2015 Bloomfield Baptist Church, together with a group of nondenominational Christ followers and friends, has been providing support to this important ministry. In December of 2017 Bloomfield Baptist Church formed an international missions board, Global Endeavours, to oversee the Church's mission projects. Sanyu Babies' Home was adopted as an official ministry project of Bloomfield Baptist and "Sanyu Canada" was born.

We believe this ministry is not just a ministry of Bloomfield Baptist Church but belongs to God and as such we invite all who are interested to join with us to provide for the needs of these precious children in Uganda.
